Amazing Grace

"It is one of the most powerfully empowering

songs upon your planet today."

Amazing Grace Lyrics
Words by John Newton 1779

(edited by Ashtar)

Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a Soul like me!
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas Grace that taught my heart to feel,
And Grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come.
'Tis Grace hath brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.
Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a Soul like me!
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see.

Ashtar speaking of the power of this song on February 24, 2007:
"There was one whose song is sung so often today.  He came from a place of not caring, and by not caring, giving tacit approval to a rather common practice of slavery in the world.  He had, what you call, an epiphany, and he wrote a song expressing Joy at what he came to understand, and the Love he came to feel that blossomed within him.

"It is one of the most powerfully empowering songs upon your planet today.  And if you want to empower yourselves, simply read it, or sing it everyday.  And that song is called 'Amazing Grace.'  And there are two versions.  One is rather judgmental, where you will hear the term 'wretch.'  Take that judgment out of it, free yourselves from it, and simply say 'Soul.'  "Because that is the truth of it, and that is the light of it.  And if you feel not like singing, just read the words.  You can find them on that marvelous internet.  That is empowering that one man could move so many by simply giving testimony, as it is stated, and this is valid, by giving testimony to his grand lightening-up, his returning home to the heart, and his becoming Love expressed.

"And so we suggest this, that you take this thought with you.  Send it out over the internet, put it in an email to your friends, to those upon your list.   Suggest that they read the words a time or two.  And when you do, send them Love.

"Send them that great Love you are.  Do you know how to empower an email even more?  Simply bless it as you send it out.  You know you push a button.  Well, just before you push the button allow yourselves to feel that Love in your heart, and then just send it out with that email.  There is a difference between opening up an email, and reading it, and going on to the next email, and opening up that email, and feeling the Love that you send with it.  Try it!"
