After a week at a retreat center and many hours of meditation, the words to this poem came pouring out of me.  We were taught that the heart energy center, the heart chakra, was the bridge between our mortal bodies and our spirits.  As I read the words describing my time on the bridge I remembered the experience in meditation as very real.  I confirmed and affirmed the beauty, the harmony, the fun and the freedom of being on the bridge and the wonderful connection and wholeness of who I AM.  My heart center responds with loving warm energy as I write this description.  Living in my compassionate heart center in the company of my personality ego, my inner child, other parts of me, and a loving angel with loving energy enhances my time on the bridge.  I am filled with Blessings and Gratitude.  Shall we meet on the bridge and joyously celebrate our Oneness?  This is one more step up the Ascension ladder.

 

On The Bridge

 

I stand on the bridge, each foot connected to its own space,

Supported only by thought and will.

Connected by a wisp of understanding, I whirl and tumble

bending and stretching thought

as I fly

to the outer nothingness of no thing.

 

Empowered - weightless - I easily cavort and soar

from finger tip

to elbow, to knee, to head, to tummy,

to supine floating,

doing effortlessly, with great joy, what I have always

imagined doing.

 

Then... the first glimmer of violet light moves toward me,

expanding in size and color,

until I am enveloped and warmed in its passing,

only to receive the next burst,

and the next!

Awed and filled by the splendor,

the simplicity and the possibilities.

 

Ah! The pristine bridge!

No toll to pay here!

No marks or demands of pedestrian or vehicular travel!

Mine alone!

Mine to explore,

to expand, to project my divine quest!

 

Yes! No doubt!

I Am a Child of God!

The Lord God of

My Being speaks!

I Am a woman made strong by MY divinity

By the God/Goddess Within!

So be it!
